SPELLING
We use the Zaner-Bloser series as a guide to our spelling instruction.
The link below will take students to an activity based portion of the Zaner-Bloser website. Please be sure to connect to the correct grade level and unit for each activity. Spelling Connections Online
Remember:

Students take a pretest on Monday.

Words missed on the pretest and on previous tests will make up their individual lists for the week.

We work with the spelling pattern throughout the week.

Spelling homework is assigned almost every night.

A final test is given on Thursday.

Any words missed on a prior test and then correctly spelled on a subsequent test will be considered a mastered word. Therefore grades will be adjusted to reflect mastery. Please check OptionC to view any words needing retesting. These words will also be written on the list destined for home each week. I will keep the pretest in class to use for partner testing on Thursday.
